The NE Tyro Zone Keeps Delivering
VANCOUVER, BC – July 29, 2026 – As a featured company in The Resource Vault, West Point Gold Corp. (TSX-V: WPG | OTCQX: WPGCF) has released results from two more drill holes at the NE Tyro Zone of its flagship Gold Chain Project in Arizona — and the story they tell is one of consistency, continuity, and a system that continues to grow.
Holes GC26-163 (Line 950) and GC26-166 (Line 1000) confirm that the NE Tyro high-grade zone is well-developed and continuous between 300 and 350 metres below surface, with grades and widths that are in line with — and in some cases better than — the best holes drilled to date. The zone remains open to depth and to the northeast toward the prospective Frisco Graben target.
With the Maiden Resource Estimate now being compiled from the recently completed 21,079-metre drill program, these results arrive at exactly the right moment — adding two more data points to what is shaping up to be a very significant first resource number.

“Drilling this year at NE Tyro has materially expanded the zone to depth and to the northeast. More importantly, the results indicate that this high-grade zone remains open in multiple directions. Why Continuity Matters as Much as Grade
At this stage in the NE Tyro story, the most important thing the drills can do is confirm that the high-grade zone is consistent and predictable across sections — not just a series of isolated hits. That is exactly what GC26-163 and GC26-166 deliver.
The longitudinal section tells the story clearly: both new holes sit within the GT >100 contour (grade × true thickness), joining a growing cluster of high-value intercepts that define a coherent, well-mineralised shoot extending from surface to over 300 metres depth. The zone is not thinning or weakening at depth — it is holding grade and width across multiple drill lines spaced 50 metres apart.

The system remains open to depth, to the southwest, and to the northeast — all three directions flagged as “OPEN” on the section.
The geologic cross sections for each line reinforce this picture. At L950, the NE Tyro vein is continuously mineralised from surface to at least 230 metres vertically, with a well-defined footwall breccia zone hosting the highest grades. At L1000, GC26-166 cuts the vein approximately 20 metres below the previously reported GC26-148 (66.2m at 6.57 g/t Au) — and returns 62.5 metres at 3.12 g/t, confirming that the high-grade shoot persists with depth on this section.

The Resource Vault Perspective: The MRE Is the Next Catalyst
With this release, assays are now pending for only 4,907 metres from the Tyro Main Zone and Black Dyke targets — the final piece of data before the Maiden Resource Estimate is compiled. The MRE, expected later in 2026, will be the first formal ounce count on a system that has delivered consistent, high-grade, wide intercepts across a 1.2-kilometre strike length and more than 300 metres of vertical depth.
Every positive hole released between now and the MRE adds to the confidence in that number. GC26-163 and GC26-166 do exactly that — and the CEO’s comment that the next drill program will focus on continuing to expand NE Tyro at depth and along strike signals that this story has a long runway beyond the first resource estimate.
At approximately $115 million USD in market capitalization, West Point Gold is still being priced as an early-stage explorer. The body of drill evidence now assembled at NE Tyro suggests it may be something considerably more significant — and the MRE will be the moment the market is forced to reckon with that.
